Workflow Interview (5 min)
Industry · Logistics

From delivery request to invoice,
less dispatching and retyping.

Delivery requests arriving by phone, fax and email, dispatching vehicles and drivers, recording daily reports and roll calls, calculating freight charges and invoicing at month-end. We reduce the repetitive admin work—under terms that differ for every shipper—with one flow from request to invoice.

We’re currently conducting Workflow Interviews with logistics companiesFor: trucking and warehousing companies (order intake, dispatch and operations admin)
AffordableAll in one. Less than separate contracts
FastPreconfigured, ready to use right away
SimpleNothing to assemble. Onboarding included
Our hypothesis

How we think
logistics work flows.

We’ve divided the industry’s end-to-end work into four stages, and for each, laid out the friction we think exists today alongside what AAP aims for.

This is a hypothesisIt’s based on research and conversations so far, and we’re still verifying it against real work. If something looks wrong, please tell us in an interview.
01

Request intake

What likely happens todayDelivery requests arriving by phone, fax and email are entered by hand into dispatch sheets or systems
What AAP aims forAI reads incoming requests and drafts the intake data
02

Dispatch

What likely happens todayDispatch is planned on whiteboards or spreadsheets by checking which vehicles and drivers are free
What AAP aims forLay out requests alongside vehicle and driver availability, draft a dispatch plan, and let the dispatcher decide
03

Operations & daily reports

What likely happens todayDaily reports, roll-call records and waiting times arrive on paper and are retyped at the office
What AAP aims forReceive daily reports and photos by smartphone and organize them as operation records
04

Freight calculation & invoicing

What likely happens todayAt month-end, charges are recalculated against each shipper’s rate table and invoices are created
What AAP aims forTotal freight and incidental charges per shipper from operation records and, once approved, send them to your current accounting software

“What AAP aims for” describes our concept. Wherever a judgment call is needed, a person always reviews and approves.

Hard parts

What we think will be hard in this industry.

We think about why things might fail before we start. In the interview, we’d like to learn how these really play out at your company.

Rates and terms per shipperEach shipper sets rates differently—by distance, weight, time, extra handling and more—and these must be handled correctly.
Legally required records and existing systemsRoll-call and operation records have required items. We’ll work out how this fits with your current fleet management systems and digital tachographs.
Operations run on phone and paperWe design how information is received on the assumption that shippers and drivers won’t change how they work.
